West of Scotland Women compete in West Regional 1, just one step below the Premiership. We’re a competitive and ambitious squad with a strong focus on development, enjoyment, and team spirit.
Whether you’re brand new to the game or returning after time away, there’s a place for you at West. We welcome players of all abilities and backgrounds — no experience needed, just a willingness to get stuck in.
We’re proud to have several current Scotland U20 players in our squad. Rachel McLachlan, now a Scotland international, began her rugby journey right here at West. We’re also proud to have developed players like Ellie Williamson and Alex Love, who have both gone on to represent the Glasgow Warriors Women.
Training takes place every Monday and Thursday, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, on our floodlit all-weather pitch at Burnbrae. Sessions are fun, supportive, and designed to help every player grow their game and enjoy their rugby.
The club runs a "Touch Rugby Fitness" on Monday's, 6pm - 7pm. This is a female only touch rugby session. The session is fun, active and social, looking to support new players and those not wanting to play the contact game.
Want to join us? Just get in touch — we’d love to welcome you to the team.
